      <abstract xml:lang="ru">
        <p><bold>Цель.</bold> Оценить содержание и пространственное распределение органического вещества и нефтяных углеводородов в поверхностном слое донных отложений прибрежных акваторий южной части п-ова Камчатка в зависимости от гранулометрического состава осадков и степени урбанизации побережья – цель настоящей работы.</p>
        <p><bold>Методы и результаты.</bold> В августе – сентябре 2023 г. на НИС «Профессор Мультановский» отобраны пробы поверхностного слоя (0–3 см) донных отложений бокс-корером. Определены гранулометрический состав (комбинированный ситовой метод), потери при прокаливании по ГОСТ 23740-2016, содержание органического углерода (Сорг) кулонометрическим методом, и хлороформ-экстрагируемых веществ и нефтяных углеводородов весовым и ИК-методом. Донные отложения представлены преимущественно илисто-песчаным материалом с повышенной долей илов в изолированных бухтах. Содержание Сорг изменялось в диапазоне 0,02–3,56 %, потери при прокаливании – в диапазоне 0,86–9,87 % при сильной корреляции между показателями (r = 0,91). Концентрации нефтяных углеводородов и хлороформ-экстрагируемых веществ составляли 0,3–93 и 2–185 мг/100 г соответственно, максимумы отмечены в Авачинской губе. Минимальные концентрации (0,3–3,2 мг/100 г для нефтяных углеводородов и 2–8 мг/100 г для хлороформ-экстрагируемых веществ) отмечались в песчаных отложениях на участке в районе Халактырского пляжа, а также в илистых отложениях Вилючинской бухты. Значения нефтяных углеводородов и хлороформ-экстрагируемых веществ положительно коррелировали с Сорг и потерями при прокаливании. Линейная регрессионная модель показала, что потери при прокаливании и индекс урбанизации совместно объясняют около 80 % вариации ln(НУ).</p>
        <p><bold>Выводы.</bold> Показано, что содержание органического вещества и гранулометрический состав осадков являются ключевыми факторами аккумуляции нефтяных углеводородов, а урбанизация побережья усиливает углеводородную нагрузку. Авачинская губа и ряд мелководных бухт характеризуются признаками хронического загрязнения.</p>

      <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
        <p><bold>Purpose.</bold> The purpose of the study is to assess the content and spatial distribution of organic matter and petroleum hydrocarbons in the surface layer of bottom sediments in the coastal waters of the southern Kamchatka Peninsula depending on the sediment grain-size composition and the degree of coastal urbanization.</p>
        <p><bold>Methods and Results.</bold> The surface (0–3 cm) sediment samples were collected by a box corer from board the R/V "Professor Multanovskiy" in August – September 2023. The following parameters were determined: grain-size composition – by a combined sieve method, loss on ignition – according to GOST 23740-2016, organic carbon (Corg) content – by coulometric analysis, and concentrations of chloroform-extractable substances and petroleum hydrocarbons – by gravimetric and IR spectrometry. The sediments consisted predominantly of silt-sand mixtures, with higher silt content in the isolated bays. Content of Corg ranged from 0.02 to 3.56 % and loss on ignition – from 0.86 to 9.87 % at strong correlation between the indices (r = 0.91). The concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons and chloroform-extractable substances constituted 0.3–93 and 2–185 mg/100 g respectively, and their maxima were observed in Avacha Bay. The minimum concentrations (0.3–3.2 mg/100 g for petroleum hydrocarbons and 2–8 mg/100 g for chloroform-extractable substances) were noted in sandy sediments in the Khalaktyrsky beach area, as well as in silt sediments of Viluychinskaya Bay. The values both of petroleum hydrocarbons and chloroform-extractable substances positively correlated with Corg and loss on ignition. The linear regression model has demonstrated that loss on ignition and the urbanization index jointly explain about 80 % of the variation in ln(PHC).</p>
        <p><bold>Conclusions.</bold> The obtained results show that the organic matter content and the grain-size composition of sediments are the key factors conditioning petroleum hydrocarbon accumulation, while coastal urbanization enhances the hydrocarbon load. The signs of chronic pollution are characteristic of Avacha Bay and several shallow bays.</p>
